Maldini Kaçurri is the big novelty in coach Silvinjo's squad for the matches against Gibraltar and Latvia. The fact that he is listed as a starter in today's friendly match makes the coach's choice even more surprising.
In fact, Silvinjo did not have the defender who is part of the Arsenal U-21 team on his list. Or rather, he did, but only on the additional list. He was invited to join the Rossoneri, only after the FSHF and the coach learned that Adrian Bajrami would no longer wear the national team jersey, because he was waiting for a call from Switzerland. Everything was closed quickly and Kaçurri, unlike the other "emergency" guests, was in the squad from his first day, training regularly with the team.
The youngster, born on October 4, 2005, has stood out in the Arsenal academy over the years and the club gave him the opportunity to debut with the first team in the League Cup last season, in the challenge against Bolton where he played in the last 20 minutes.
In January, he was loaned to Bromley, in the fourth category, but played there only 3 games before returning to be part of Arsenal. Meanwhile, with the red and black shirt he has surprisingly only played friendly matches, both with the U-17, as well as with the U-19 and most recently with the U-21. In no case has he played an official match, being always out of the red and black lists when it came to matches worth three points.
