Lorik Cana is one of the emblematic footballers of Albanian football, as he has played for well-known teams. Initially, he wore the jerseys of PSG, Marseille, Sandërland and Gallatasaraj. Then, the former captain of the Albanian national team from the 2011-2015 season contributed to Lazio, while Nante cannot be left without mentioning in the French championship. In a recent interview for "Colinterview - Oh My Goal", he revealed some things he has never said before.
" In 2015, I was diagnosed with a heart muscle disease. I had one year left on my contract with Lazio, I was 32 years old. I had come from a great season in Rome: we had finished third in the league and in the Coppa Italia final. I had spent a good part of the season with De Vraj in the center of defense and at the end this problem was revealed. I found myself in a completely new situation that I did not know before.
I didn't want to stop because there was still one thing I wanted to achieve in my career: qualifying my national team for an important tournament, something that had never happened before. We came very close because we still had four games left, the ones in September and October. If I had found myself in the same situation a year later, in 2016, I would have immediately ended my career, because the cardiologists did not want me to continue and immediately advised me to stop " - he said.
