Joe Barone didn't make it. The general manager of Fiorentina passed away on Tuesday, a day before his 58th birthday, due to an illness that struck him on Sunday afternoon.
Barone was rushed to the hospital and his condition appeared to be very serious from the beginning. He was at the stadium to watch the Atalanta-Fiorentina match, but his condition was not good and he was rushed by helicopter to a hospital in Milan.
