Yesterday evening, Turkish football was engulfed in violence after a group of fans entered the pitch after the match between Trabzonspor and Fenerbahçe.

As a result of the violence against the Fenerbahçe players and coach, 12 people were arrested who were involved in the violent clashes.

"12 people who were identified as being involved in the fights after the Trabzonspor - Fenerbahce match were detained," announced Minister Ali Yerlikaya.

Ultras threatened and assaulted Istanbul players and staff, while Fenerbaches goalkeeper Dominik Livakovic was punched in the face.
