Poland will face Albania this month in a crucial match for the World Cup play-off semi-final. Ahead of the match, Polish national team coach Jan Urban has described the Albanian team as a tough opponent.
In a statement to the media, Urban stressed that Poland will have the home field advantage, but warned that this does not make the match any easier.
" We must be aware of the level of difficulty. Of course, in the match against Albania we have the advantage of playing at home, but the opponent also has its own advantages, even considerable ones. No one should think that the victory on March 26 is a formality. It is a difficult match for Poland ," he said.
The Polish coach also recalled Albania's recent results in the international arena, highlighting its performance at "Euro 2024".
" Recently, Albania qualified for the 2024 European Championship, leaving behind Poland. In that tournament, they drew with Croatia and lost minimally to Italy and Spain. They play interesting football and have had the same coach for years, which gives them stability. Many of the Albanian footballers are active in good clubs, especially in Italy ," Urban declared.
The clash between Poland and Albania is expected to be one of the most important matches of this month for both national teams, as the winner will continue on the path to the World Cup.
