Cristiano Ronaldo is working intensively to recover from a muscle injury in his right thigh, which he suffered on February 28 during Al Nassr's match against Al Fayha FC.
The 41-year-old striker is currently in Madrid, where he is undergoing a specialized recovery program with the aim of returning to the field of play as soon as possible. Recently, the Portugal captain published a photo on social media showing him using a device that covers his entire leg.
The Cryo Sport device is a technology designed to accelerate the physical recovery of athletes. The device is marketed by the AVACR7 brand, a collaboration between the company Advanced Recovery for Athletes and Ronaldo himself, who is also an investor in this project founded in 2022 by Brazilian entrepreneur Rodrigo Santana.
Cryo Sport works through an air pressure system that aims to reduce muscle fatigue and limit cramps after matches. The device also helps reduce swelling and muscle pain. The technology has also been used by several sports clubs, including Botafogo. According to the brand's official website, the price of the device is around 5,497 euros.
Al Nassr coach Jorge Jesus has stated that Ronaldo's injury was more serious than initially thought.
" After the examinations it was understood that the injury was more serious. He needs rest and treatment in Madrid with the specialist who has been working with him for a long time. We hope he returns as soon as possible to help the team ," said the Portuguese technician.
The expected recovery time is around four weeks, which could put Ronaldo in doubt for the upcoming Portugal national team training camp. The Portuguese national team has scheduled two friendlies at the end of March: on March 29 against Mexico and on March 31 against the United States, which serve as part of preparations for the 2026 World Cup.
