
The next two races of the World Cup for women in skiing, the slalom, took place this weekend at the Levi track in Finland. The Albanian skier Lara Kolturi (born in Italy but with Albanian citizenship) also went down the track, in her second season in the World Cup competitions.
The 16-year-old skier put in a good performance, entering the points zone in both events, thus collecting her first points of the season. On Saturday, in the first slalom race, she was ranked 22nd among 83 skiers.
After the first descent, Kolturi gave a time of 56.63, entering among the top 30 skiers. In the second descent, the red and black skier gave a time of 58"31. In total, Kolturi was classified 22nd, with a time of 1'54”94, accumulating 9 points.
In the second slalom competition held today, the Albanian skier was ranked 25th, accumulating 6 points.
After the first descent, she posted a time of 58.49, again entering the top 30 skiers. In the second descent, Kolturi posted a time of 56″12 and her overall time was 1'54”61.
