The semi-final matches of the "play-off" phase in the First Category were held this Thursday, determining the two finalist teams that will continue the race for promotion to the Abissnet Superiore next season.

Pogradec managed to secure qualification after a convincing 3-0 victory over Kastrioti. In the home match, the Lakeside team took the lead in the first half against Greca, while Pius sealed the success with two goals scored in the final minutes of the match.

In the other semi-final, Besa triumphed 2-0 against Iliria in Fushë Krujë. Cordeiro and Çinuendu scored two quick goals for the Cavaliers, giving Besa a ticket to the play-off final.

The final between Pogradec and Besa will take place on May 11, at 17:00. The winner of this match will then face the eighth-placed team in the Abissnet Superiore, in a duel that will decide the last team participating in the Albanian football elite for the 2026-2027 season.
