The coach of the Polish national team, Fernando Santos, has today made public the list of players gathered for the "EURO 2024" qualifiers against the Faroe Islands and Albania. Both matches are decisive for the Polish team, which has no alternatives other than success in order not to be left out of the European Championship.
What has caught the eye was the return of veterans Kamil Grosički and Grzegorz Kriçoviak, who were absent from the previous gathering. The opinion circulated in the media that Fernando Santos had submitted to pressure from the public or other players for these invitations, and this has brought the reaction of the Portuguese coach at the list presentation conference.
" No one influences who I call and who I don't. Everything comes from my observations. The national team is not in an easy situation, we would like to be in first place with 9 points, but we only have 3. However, we still depend on ourselves. We have 5 finals left. If we win them, we qualify for "EURO 2024". This is where our strategy is based ," said the coach of Poland.
