The Albanian U-17 national team has started its journey in the second round of the U-17 European Championship qualifiers with a draw. In the match held at the “Arena Egnatia” in Rrogozhina, the team led by coach Armand Dama shared the points with Latvia after the result was 2-2.
The red and black coach started the match with this formation: Lleshi in goal, Amataj, Gashi, Malko, Nushi, Zekaj, Vata, Allasufi, Muslika, Matjani and Uldedaj.
The match started in Albania's favor, as Latvia took the lead in the second minute with a goal by Baltrushaitis. However, the Rossoneri's reaction was quick and in the 19th minute Armend Muslika restored the balance, scoring accurately from the penalty spot.
In the second half, Albania took more control of the game and managed to overturn the score in the 81st minute. Muslika was again the protagonist, who scored his second personal goal and gave the Albanian team the advantage.
When everything seemed to be heading towards a victory for the Rossoneri, Latvia found the equalizer in the 88th minute with Blums, making the final score 2-2.
With this result, Albania secures the first point in Group B6 of League B. The next challenge for the red and blacks will be against Ukraine on June 9, again at the "Arena Egnatia", where they will seek their first victory in this qualifying phase.
