Football continues to evolve, with new rules for next season. The annual meeting of the IFAB, the world body that makes changes to the rules of the game of football, has brought several innovations for the coming months.
In particular, in fact, the IFAB 2024 meeting made the members decide on three tests to be carried out in the following months, in order to try to implement these innovations from the 2024-2025 season also in different championships high level.
However, further rules (including those related to equipment and permanent substitutions due to concussion) are now official for 2024-2025 for all world tournaments (including Serie A).

The objective is, in fact, to eliminate various pressures around the judge after a controversial episode.
Two "bonus" seconds for goalkeepers: "Compared to what usually happens, goalkeepers will be able to hold the ball for two seconds more without measures and change of possession. In fact, full backs will be able to have the ball in their hands for eight seconds instead of six.
VAR in the stadium: "It has not been determined which ones, but the IFAB has decided to extend to other competitions the FIFA process in which the referee publicly announces the final decisions and the explanation of the review after the VAR throughout the stadium through the loudspeaker. /Supersport
