Lazio have made an unexpected decision for Elseid Hysaj. The Albanian national team defender, who is already a record holder in the red and black jersey, will not be part of Lazio's Serie A matches until at least January.
In fact, the defender was suffering from an injury he suffered with the national team in the match against England, when he left the field in the first minutes of the challenge. He seemed to be on the verge of recovery, but that is not what Lazio thinks. The club has issued a statement today, announcing that Hysaj has been removed from the list of players for Serie A, replacing him with Fisajo Dele-Bashiru.
Such a change is allowed by Serie A in cases of injury and Lazio has taken advantage of the defender's situation to remove him from the list and make room for the Nigerian. A decision that is very similar to last year when Marko Baroni left Hysaj out in the first half of the season at Lazio, only to bring him back in the second. But it is already very impressive, as on the team's bench is the coach who knows him best, Maurizio Sarri.
