Albania has applied to host the finals of the European Championship for U-17 or U-19 and on September 26 everything will be decided by UEFA. The news was announced by the AFL through an announcement on the official website.
"The UEFA Executive Committee will consider at its next meeting on September 26 the candidacies for the organization of the U-17 European Championship for the years 2025, 2026 and 2027 and the U-19 European Championship for the years 2026 and 2027. The Albanian Football Federation is part of this important competition for which it has submitted applications for the organization of the U-17 European Championship for the years 2025, 2026 and 2027 and the U-19 European Championship for the years 2026 and 2027. Federations from important countries are also part of this competition European.
In the application submitted by the Albanian Football Federation, it is foreseen that the matches will take place in 'Air Albania Stadium', 'Elbasan Arena', 'Loro Boriçi' and 'Arena Egnatia'. These stadiums will host the group stage matches, the semi-finals and the grand final.
Also, for the development of such a competition, 8 training centers with natural grass fields are required, which will be in the Tirana-Durres axis, this is also due to the number of hotels with specific conditions that are required. "Albania has been qualified by the Tendering Commission as a country that has all the skills, capacities and meets the criteria for organizing a European Championship for young people," the announcement states.
