In the summer of 2021, the same president Fabricio Corsi decided to focus again on Aurelio Andreacoli, entrusting him to the bench and this time the coach stayed on the bench for the whole season, finishing in 14th place. In that period, the team reached 10 wins, 11 draws and a total of 17 losses. Afterwards, the farewell was consensual, with the parties already seeing fit to get back together.
Empoli were beaten 7-0 by Roma this week in the Italian Serie A and the defeat led to the club sacking manager Paolo Zanetti. For weeks, Empoli has been disappointing in the championship and these results have made the club decide on Zanet's future.
Thus, Ismajli, Berisha and Shpendi will be trained by the new coach, Aurelio Andreacoli.
