The Albanian national football team has started the squad preparation for the first two qualifying matches of the 2026 World Cup, which they will play in the last days of March against England and Andorra. Coach Silvinjo has selected 26 names, in a list that is always open to discussion, due to the different form that the players have had or are having.

Among the goalkeepers, Elhan Kastrati is the one with the highest average grade for the last year, where he has been a regular part of Citadel in Serie B. The average grade of 7.04 makes Berat Gjimshiti the most highly rated defender, a no small achievement considering that the competitions in which he has participated during this period are Serie A, the Champions League and the Europa League where he was declared the winner with Atalanta.
The new arrival, Etnik Brruti, stands out with a score of 7.3. But it should be noted that this score comes from the evaluations he received mainly in the Kosovo football championship with the Malisheva jersey. Meanwhile, among the usual names of the national team in the midfield, Qazim Laçi stands out, with an average score of 7.1.
As for the attack, Yasir Asani with 7.2 stands out and seems natural considering the form he has had in the Asian Champions League where he is among the best scorers. A high average grade of 7.16 also for Rei Manaj, who has become a renowned scorer in Turkey.
