The Albanian U-21 national team will play a friendly match against Italy U-21 on June 8, but the opponent that will take the field will not be the usual lineup of Italian youth.
According to the decision of coach Silvio Baldini, some of the main players of the Italy U-21 have been gathered with the A representative for the matches against Greece and Luxembourg. For this reason, the team that will face Albania will be an alternative version of the Italy U-21.
The team for this friendly has been entrusted to Italy U-20 coach Carmine Nunciata, who has selected mainly young players and regular alternatives to the U-21 team. Many of them are active in the academies of Italian clubs or play in Serie B and Serie C.
Among the names collected, a footballer of Albanian origin also stands out. Kristian Cama, the defender of Roma, is part of the Italian list. Although of Albanian origin, he has chosen to represent Italy and has been active with the national youth teams of this country for years.
