According to reports published in international media, Qatar allegedly financed the presence of around 2,000 people to support the local national team and create an atmosphere in the stadiums.
Reports claim that these fans were offered "all-inclusive" packages, which included airfare, hotel accommodations, and match tickets. Furthermore, before each match they were provided with Qatari national team jerseys, scarves, flags, and other accessories, in order to appear as regular supporters in the stadium stands.
According to the same sources, some of these people had never attended a football match at the stadium before, and some of them had never been active fans of the sport. This has prompted discussions about the authenticity of the atmosphere created during the matches of the local national team.
However, these claims have not been officially confirmed by Qatari authorities or FIFA. The issue has continued to be the subject of discussion in the media and social networks, raising questions about how fan support will be organized during the tournament.
