The first half of the Spanish Super Cup final between Barcelona and Real Madrid ended 2-2 after a frantic and emotional half. Four goals were scored in 45 minutes, confirming once again why El Clásico remains the most passionate match in Spanish football.
Barcelona took the lead in the 36th minute, when Raphinha scored a beautiful individual goal, quickly passing the Madrid defense and shooting accurately from the edge of the area into the bottom corner of the goal, leaving Courtois no chance.
Real Madrid's reaction came in the first half's extra time. In the 45+2 minute, Vinicius Junior equalized with a brilliant individual move, finishing calmly from inside the area to make it 1-1.
Just two minutes later, Barcelona regained the lead. Pedri served beautifully for Robert Lewandowski, who with a technical shot took the ball into the net, making the score 2-1 in the 45+4 minute.
But the drama wasn't over yet. In the 45+7 minute, Gonzalo Garcia took advantage of a loose ball in the area and unleashed a spectacular shot, which just missed the crossbar and ended up in the net, tying things up at 2-2 and ending an electrifying first half.
Everything remains open for the second half, in a final that is justifying expectations with a high pace, goals and endless emotions.
