Bayern Munich are mourning the loss of their legend Franc Beckenbauer, who died on Monday at the age of 78.
The Bavarians are even planning a grand "farewell" for the 'Kaizer' at the Allianz Arena, in the stadium of 75,000 spectators, which would not exist without the existence of the missing, as Rumenige declared.
Beckenbauer's former team-mate Karl-Heinz Rumenige has already contacted current Bayern president Uli Hünes with a view to organizing the biggest ever memorial service. Final discussions will take place today to decide when and how it will be held the great "farewell" of a world legend.
In fact, speaking to Bayern Munich's official website, Rumenige said:
" I am deeply shocked. Franc Beckenbauer rewrote the history of German football and left his mark on it forever.
He was my Bayern Munich captain, my national team coach, our president at Bayern and in all these roles he was not only successful, but unique.
As a person, he was impressive with his respect for all people, because everyone was equal in Franc's eyes. German football lost the biggest form in its history. We will miss him. Thank you for everything, dear Franc ."
