Albanian striker Leon Myrtaj has been called up again by the Hungarian U-19 team, adding to the dilemmas over his future in the international arena. The 17-year-old talent, who plays for Tottenham Hotspur in England, seems increasingly close to a final choice in favor of Hungary.
Last year, Myrtaj wore the Albania U-17 jersey, with which he recorded 7 matches and scored 1 goal. However, in October he took to the field with the Hungarian U-19 national team, exercising the right to represent this country, as his mother is Hungarian.
Although he had previously left open the possibility of returning to the Rossoneri, the recent invitation from Hungary U-19 increases the likelihood that Myrtaj will continue his journey with this representative team, potentially all the way to the A team.
Currently, Myrtaj is part of Tottenham U-18 and is standing out in the English championship for this age group, being considered one of the promising talents in the London club's academy.
It remains to be seen what the young striker's final decision will be regarding his international future.
