Ardian Ismajli has been introduced as the newest player in the Torino team, after signing a two-year contract with the option to extend for another season. A choice that shows that Ismajli wanted to stay in top-flight football at all costs, after having previously rejected a lucrative offer.
Italian media reports that before the talks with Torino, Ismajli had a very important offer on the table in all respects. The Al Ain club in Qatar was looking for the Albanian footballer, who was leaving Empoli with zero parameters after his contract expired. The sheikhs offered him a staggering salary of around 7 million euros in the 3 years he would play for this club. In addition, he was offered the opportunity to play in the Club World Cup, where Al Ain was a part.
But Ismajli rejected this opportunity, preferring to find and sign for a club where he would have a leading role in an important championship, such as the Italian one. Thus, he waited for the contract with Empoli to close and then underwent medical examinations, signing today with Torino, to become part of this club with a lot of history in Italy and Europe.
