New details have come to light regarding the SPAK investigation into the mayor of Rrogozhina, Edison Memolla.
Media sources inform that Memolla, in addition to investigations by SPAK about the earthquake, is also accused of corruption in the partial elections of March 6, 2022.
Today, the mayor was informed of the accusations and the investigation related to facts made public by a citizen where SPAK has the material of threatening the citizen during the local elections in Rrogozhinë.
It is about an interception according to which it is claimed that Memolla paid the electricity bills of the citizens of Rrogozhina in exchange for votes.
For this accusation, Memolla is being investigated by prosecutor Edvin Kondili.
When asked by journalists, Memolla did not give any statement about what he was asked about in SPAK.
We remind you that two days ago, it was reported that the mayor of Rrogozhina is under investigation by the Special Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office.
Memolla is being investigated after the denunciations that he abused the city's cleaning tenders, but also that they signed compensations for the damage to the houses from the earthquake.
