For the citizens of Tirana, Saturday, June 1 will be "Car Free Day", where the circulation of vehicles will be limited during a certain time.
Vehicle circulation will be restricted from 06:00 to 17:00 in some of the main segments in the capital, while a movement plan has been drawn up for emergency and State Police vehicles.
The restriction of the circulation of vehicles, in the framework of the development of activities for June 1, 2024, will be from 06:00 to 17:00, in the following segments:
- Boulevard "Dëshmorët e Kombit", starting from the Ministry of Interior to the beginning of the "Former Hotel Dajti.
- "Dëshmorët e Kombit" boulevard, starting from the "Former Hotel Dajti" bridge to the intersection with "Ismail Qemali" street.
It is prohibited to park vehicles in the parking spaces in the perimeter near the "Bicycle School", on "Ahmet Pazari" street, on "Dervish Hima" street and on the street on the eastern side of the "Air Albania" stadium, on June 1, 2024 , from 06:00 to 17:00, with the exception of emergency vehicles and the State Police.
Vehicle traffic should continue on "Ibrahim Rugova" street, "Zhan Dark" boulevard, "Bajram Curri" boulevard and on "George.W.Bush" street.
The circulation of emergency vehicles and the State Police will continue normally in all the above road segments.
Line No. 13 "New Tirana" and Line No. 2 "TEG - Old Sauk - Zoological Garden - Former Train Station" should divert to "Ibrahim Rugova" road.
