Albania will face a heat wave in the coming days, which will spread across the country from north to south.
According to meteorologist Tanja Porja, the thermometer in the next 10 days is expected to reach 42 degrees in some cities, while the north will also face high temperatures.
"As of today, we expect 40 degrees Celsius in the country. Elbasan and Berat will be the hottest regions. This heat wave will be longer. We expect to have at least 7 very hot days in the territory. From Thursday we expect maximum temperatures in Gjirokastër, Përmet, Elbasan, Berat. At the weekend there will be a slight decrease, but the thermometer will rise even at the beginning of next week. Even mountainous areas risk 40 degrees Celsius," said meteorologist Tanja Porja.
