Accidents at work are increasing year by year. According to INSTAT data, in 2024, 224 inspections due to accidents at work were recorded, marking an increase of 2.8%, compared to the previous year.

The number of employees injured at work was 177, an increase of 5.4% compared to 2023. 18.6% of our employees were female. For fatal accidents, during 2024 there were 33 employees injured at work with death or 3 more accidents than the previous year. 6.1% of our employees with death were female.

Last year 2024, the total number of visits to primary care was 8,951,864, marking a decrease of 3.1%, compared to the previous year. 42.5% were carried out in primary care centers; o 23.9% were carried out in the ambulance; o 33.6% were carried out in polyclinics.

Data shows that 35.4% of visits to health centers and ambulances were made by people over 60 years of age.

In 2024, a total of 184,801 visits to antenatal clinics were recorded, with a decrease of 9.2% compared to 2023. 78.1% were obstetric visits and 21.9% of the visits were gynecological visits. Of the obstetric visits, half of them (50.4%) were performed with the assistance of a specialist doctor. 15.9% of the total obstetric visits were performed for the first time, marking an increase of 4.6% compared to the previous year.

In 2024, the children's clinic registered 267,048 children and conducted 731,277 visits, an average of 2.7 visits per child per year. Compared to 2023, the number of visits decreased by 1.0% and 52.9% of the visits were carried out with the assistance of a specialist doctor, and the rest with the assistance of midwives and nurses.

During 2024, the number of children aged 0-1 who were exclusively breastfed was 15,068, while the number of children exclusively formula-fed was 3,459.

In 2024, vaccination coverage of children within the first year of life remained at high levels, 97.0%-9.0%, for all vaccines according to the national vaccination schedule, with Measles-Rubella-Mumps, where coverage was 92.0%.

Last year, there were 65 hospitals in the country, out of which 41 were public hospitals and 24 were private hospitals. In public hospital services, 299,318 patients were hospitalized, an increase of 4.8% compared to 2023. Bed utilization was 176.7 days, which is 48.4% of the calendar days of 2024.

The average length of stay of a patient is 4.7 days per year, with a bed exposure of 37.8 times per year. In the hospital service, a total of 65,302 care devices were used, with an increase of 0.4% compared to 2023./Monitor
