President Bajram Begaj congratulated Kosovo on the 16th anniversary of Independence. For Begajn, this is a special day that marks the crowning of the dreams of the Albanian people, of Kosovo, for freedom and independence.
He writes that Albania will continue to support Kosovo.
"I would like to assure you that Albania will firmly continue its commitment to support Kosovo. We will continue to work for continuous international recognition and jointly promote peace and stability in the region, as well as support the aspirations of the Albanian people for a more prosperous future" , writes Begaj.
The President states that Kosovo is a success story in the Balkans in respect of human rights, while emphasizing the dialogue with Serbia. He adds that it is the only way to achieve peace and normalization of relations between two countries.
Also, Begaj has advised the government of Kosovo, which he says should cooperate closely with strategic allies, the USA and the EU.
"Mediated by the EU and strongly supported by the United States, the continuation of the dialogue is the only way towards peace, normalization of relations, as well as Kosovo's membership in regional and international organizations", writes Bregaj.
