Meteorologist Lajda Porja said that January is expected to be the coldest month of the winter, where temperatures up to -6 degrees Celsius are expected to be recorded.
Porja emphasized that the cold days are expected to start after the 10th and reach their peak in mid-January.
"If we then talk about the thermal values, even January entered with relatively high temperatures, 3 or 4 degrees above average.
Sunday will bring a drop of 4 or 5 degrees, making the maximum temperatures 14 or 15 degrees Celsius. The first 10 days of January are predicted to be warm and humid, we expect very cold days in the middle of January starting after the 10th. January will be the month that will record the lowest temperatures compared to December and February which are the winter months. The lowest value will be lower than -6", said Porja in a link to Goodmorning Albanians.
So the meteorologist said that starting from Saturday of this weekend, the rains will start, where on Sunday, rain showers are expected all over the country.
"2024 started with little and non-problematic rainfall. This week will end with unstable conditions, there will be rain and clouds. We expect mostly rain during the weekend. They will start on Saturday evening, there will be rain on Sunday, almost the entire territory and then they will remain present throughout the next week", said Porja.
