The first babies born in Albania in 2026 are girls. One was born at the "Queen Geraldine" maternity hospital, while the other was born at the "Koço Gliozheni" maternity hospital.

Newborn babies were born just minutes after the New Year arrived in our country.

The news was shared on social media by Prime Minister Edi Rama himself, who published photos of the little girls.

"Two girls are the first babies born in 2026, one at the "Queen Geraldine" maternity hospital and the other at "Koço Gliozheni", Rama writes on Facebook.
