Analyst Lorenc Vangjeli said that the "January 21" incident is an open grave. According to him, an investigation is needed, both on the criminal and political lines.
Analyzing Berisha's call to SPAK, Vangjeli stated that what has happened from 2011 to today shows a lot about the political trajectory of the Democratic Party.
He explained that the main exponents of the Democratic Party, from Sali Berisha to Lulzim Basha, have not told the truth about "January 21".
"Lulzim Basha has the duty and obligation to tell his truth. What happened on January 21 explains the very strange trajectory, the fluctuations, the loves, the hates of these characters who have not individually told the truth."
"What happened explains a lot of the dynamics in the Democratic Party in the last part of its mandate, 2011-2013, in the election of the Democratic Party chairman in the rivalry between Lulzim Basha and the late Olldashi until his re-election after his defeat in 2021," Vangjeli told "RTSH".
The analyst emphasized that "January 21" remains an open grave and that the investigation must include criminal, political, but also moral ones.
"Albanian society owes this murder of conscience to itself. It is an unclosed grave. In this process, I do not believe that the line of criminal investigation, the line of political investigation that justice does not do, and the line of moral investigation can be separated. Only in this way, our society, which has not had the guts to make a revolution, will be enlightened to make an evolution ," he said.
