The 23rd protest against Prime Minister Edi Rama has begun. Hundreds of citizens initially gathered at Skanderbeg Square and then began a march towards the Prime Minister's Office. Many citizens have demanded the resignation of Prime Minister Rama and the removal of the old political caste.
During the march, the protesters continued with their now-anthemmed calls: "Rama resign", "Rama in prison, Berisha in prison" and "Death to traitors, Albania of Albanians".
In today's protest, banners filled with 'memes' could not be missing, which in 23 days have traveled around the world.
We recall that the revolt has now transcended its initial cause and has transformed into a broader movement against corruption, misgovernment, lack of accountability, and the mass exodus of young people from the country. The participation of the diaspora is an indication that dissatisfaction with the government is not limited to the territory of Albania.
