Protesters have begun gathering in Skanderbeg Square, where citizens and activists are demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama and the creation of a technical government.
During speeches given at the protest, participants expressed their dissatisfaction with the economic and social situation in the country, accusing the government of governance failures and worsening living conditions.
One of the protesters stated that citizens are facing low wages and high living costs, while demanding that justice institutions act on corruption cases.
He cited as an example a case of the conviction of a former minister in Spain, demanding that similar standards be applied in Albania.
"This anti-Albanian government has made life impossible for every citizen. The lowest salaries in Europe and the highest prices. Justice must be done as it was done in Spain. We are all together here. Of course there will be attempts at division, but we will see it through to the end. Resignation and technical government," he said.
The protestor also warned that the movement will continue and may take other forms if their demands are not considered.
"If this government has not understood it yet, then there will be an escalation and the escalation will be decided by the sovereign, the people," he declared.
The protest is taking place under increased security measures, while organizers have called for participation and continued civic mobilization.
