The Swedish national team is continuing preparations for the round of 16 challenge against France, after finishing Group F in third place after a draw with Japan.
On Wednesday, the Swedes held a training session at FC Dallas' stadium ("Toyota Stadium"), where an incident occurred during renovation work on the facility.
According to reports, workers attempted to demolish part of the stadium structure with explosives, but the explosion did not go as planned. As a result, a segment of the east stand collapsed in the wrong direction, causing damage to the facility.
Footage released from the stadium shows debris scattered across the stands after the collapse, while Sweden's players continued training on the field as normal, despite the incident.
Fortunately, authorities confirmed that no one was injured.
Sweden will face France on June 30, in a match that will start at 23:00. The French team, led by Didier Deschamps, is considered the favorite to qualify for the quarter-finals, while Sweden aims to cause an upset.
