Dozens of residents of the administrative unit Gjorica in Bulqiza have sought medical help as a result of poisoning from drinking water.
As in the Bulqiza Hospital, but also in the health center, there has been an influx of visits with signs of poisoning from residents of this area, mainly with vomiting and diarrhea.
From the analyzes carried out by the Local Health Care Unit in Bulqiza (NJVKSH), it was found that the water was contaminated.
Meanwhile, in these days, about 50 people have been presented to the hospital with signs of poisoning. The doctor of the Health Center in Gjorica said that there is a decreasing trend in the number of people suspected to have been poisoned.
"It is almost the third day today that we continue with the cases. Today about 7-8 people have been, which means that it is a lower number than yesterday, at least until these moments. The symptoms are stomach and vomiting, abdominal pain, which is characteristic of what is already thought to be water poisoning. There were no serious complications, we hope the situation will improve", said doctor Telman Veliu.
While one resident said that this problem has been happening for at least 4 days.
"This problem has been happening for at least 4 days. It is one of the main reasons that people should make the announcement that people continue to drink water. We have a water deposit without any kind of guard. We give money and go to hospitals is not good. I left 99% to the water. I left it there to the bride. I have a three-year-old girl with vomiting and fever. Deposit guard needed. The state must take action. We know that they throw chlorine", he said.
