Singer Dua Lipa has criticized the way Interior Secretary Suella Braverman and others have labeled Albanian immigrants.
Dua Lipa, born in London to Kosovar Albanian parents, said that the way the government has labeled Albanians hurts her.
"Of course it hurts. All that talk about immigrants? I always felt that London was a melting pot of cultures. It is an integral part of the city.
So when you hear the government talking about Albanians, for example, it hurts. It's short-sighted and short-sighted, but it's the way many people think.
No matter how we try to change the rhetoric, there will always be those who think, 'Immigrants are coming to the country and taking jobs'. However, the immigrants who have come here have earned their money by working extremely hard.
There should be more sensitivity, because people don't leave their country unless they have to leave out of necessity, out of fear for their family," she said in an interview with the Sunday Times.
We remember that this criticism of Dua Lipa comes after some time ago the Secretary of the Interior labeled the Albanians as "criminals" and that they were "invading" England.
