The Conference of Presidents voted yesterday only with the votes of the majority to set up a special commission for Disinformation.
Journalist Enton Abilekaj said on the Now show in Euronews Albania that the government's goal is to control the media.
According to him, the government seems to have a contract with social platforms, such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, where propaganda is spread the most and not to hit the media.
"The government could have asked social platforms like Facebook to fight disinformation. Tiktok is being fought today in the US not the media and Tiktok is being banned from the US... Facebook making propaganda. We have asked the government to make contracts with these social platforms, that is where propaganda is spread. If it controls them, it is a very important step, but the government does not have the will to do it. They make a commission to check us, not them", said Abilekaj.
