"Tourism in the market", this was the topic that was discussed this Wednesday in "Quo Vadis" on Vizion Plus moderated by Pranvera Borakaj.
Invited to the studio, the security expert, Fatjon Softa, has sounded the alarm calling on the law enforcement bodies to increase vigilance as much as possible since we live in a moment of world conflicts.
According to him, seeing what has happened in Russia and Istanbul, Albania should also be careful, as terrorist attacks can come along with tourism.
Pranvera Borakaj: Is Albania considered a safe place?
Softa: Until today we have not had a definition of how this place will be. There was no strategy.
Pranvera Borakaj: It is a KÇK country.
Softa: We have not seen a perspective of what Albania will be like. We think we need to create some conditions. Tirana is the main reservoir of tourism. But Tirana offers these difficulties, where is the taxi.
Pranvera Borakaj: Do we have a bus?
Softa: I'm not talking about whether you leave Tirana to see other places. There is no connection between the terminals. You don't have a train. When they come with rental cars, they don't know where to park. There is a connection between the north and the south, and we are talking about the highway of the sea. We focus on 3-4 points and we call that tourism. There can be no tourism without security. We have food and health security. What security does one have when they come here. Then we come to real security, from that to water when we have had incidents. Last season we had an improvement. We have uncertainty at the water line as motor vehicles have no control. We have the uncertainty of transportation as there are many accidents. The other problem in this country is that we have a situation where conflicts in the world have worsened, and we may even be hit in the season. We saw Russia hit by a terrorist act, we saw Istanbul.
