It is learned that Artur Gashi has been sentenced to 6 months in prison. His name came out in 2023, when Ilir Kapetani, an inspector at the Property Handling Agency, was arrested.
The latter was involved 14 times in corrupt schemes by taking money from citizens for property matters. Artur Gashi, as well as several other citizens, are among the names that have given bribes.

Meanwhile, due to the summary trial application, Gashi will serve four months in prison. But in the decision, it is emphasized that the days he served under "house arrest" will be deducted from this sentence.

1. The Special Prosecutor's Office against Corruption and Organized Crime submitted to the Court the request with the object: Sending to court the criminal proceedings with no. 249/2020, in charge of the defendant Artur Gashi, for the charge "Active corruption of persons exercising public functions", provided by article 244 of the Criminal Code
. The trial of this silence took place with the rules of summary trial. At the end of the trial, the Special Court of First Instance for Corruption and Organized Crime with a panel composed of judges Elsa Ulliri, Ardit Mustafaj and Bib Ndreca, with decision No. 66, dated 05.11.2024 decided:
1. The guilty declaration of the defendant Artur Gashi for committing the criminal offense "Active corruption of persons exercising public functions", provided for by article 244 of the Criminal Code, before the changes made by law no. 43 of 2021 and his sentence of 6 months imprisonment.
2. Pursuant to Article 406/1 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, the defendant Artur Gashi is reduced by 1/3 (one third) of the sentence and ultimately sentenced to 4 months of imprisonment.
The serving of the sentence begins from the moment of execution of this decision, taking into consideration the time spent in the "House Arrest" security measure, and will be placed in a regular security prison.
Procedural costs in the stage of preliminary investigations as well as court costs are charged to the defendant.
An appeal against this decision is allowed in the Special Court of Appeal for Corruption and Organized Crime, within 15 days, starting from the day after the communication of the decision.
