Rajmonda Xhafa, the daughter of the aunt of the famous singer Parashqevi Simaku, has narrated the bitter American story of the iconic singer of Albanian music.
A video published on the network while she was receiving help, disturbed the Albanians, but above all her family members who have not had any contact with her for more than 1 decade.
For the last time, the meeting with Parashqevi Simaku, the aunt's daughter says that they had it in 1997 when the singer came to Albania and since then she left never to return. After this period, Simaku faced numerous challenges, which culminated in her divorce from her husband around 2006, who also took custody of her son, Luke, who is now 22 years old.
"The truth is, she came here before '97 because she was going to give a concert with her husband. He reached the mess and was telling my aunt that hooligans are coming inside. Hooligans say it in Albanian. When it was 1997, my mother cut the ticket so that they could leave urgently because there is a mess in Albania. In three days you will leave, he says. The wedding was held in America, the aunt showed us the video. She gave birth to the child, Luke. My aunt went one year and they didn't see her passport, which she has to renew every 6 months, and she got expelled. He never set foot in America again, all his life he shed tears because he never saw that child again. He went and the brother stayed for a year.
Somewhere the arguments started, he made some records in English. It didn't work out, they got divorced. He took his son. We learned by data, we haven't communicated with him for years. It was many years. Aunt did not allow us. My uncle told us to look for it at Aida Shtino. No, my mother used to say, don't mention the girl's name. Everyone is tired of looking for him, his brother's bride, his brother's girlfriend in France. He answered harshly, come on, get it, I don't want it anymore, I got another one. That one day you will find it in the trash cans, he said. We were very upset. She left again, crossed France, but was turned back. I also contacted a journalist once, he gave me an address in Manhattan. We looked for him, but we didn't find him", she tells Report TV.
Rajmonda Xhafa says that the family members have made numerous attempts to find her, but everything has turned out to be unsuccessful. According to them, the singer has no contact either with her son or with the rest of the family.
"We were told that he went into depression because of the boy. She was very attached to the boy, she paid him with her head. It was the pleasure of this people. He stayed at my house in Durrës. Aman, they tell me, you sleep on the ground and I sleep in the bed. The only thing I would say is that you should succeed. He is a very good man, but misfortune brings him to this rank. Çuni is 22 years old today, she probably doesn't contact the boy at all. They say that she passed partial paralysis, she has the boy's pain. He used to say to his brother's girlfriend, Roberto: Come on, I don't have any money to pay the rent because I'm married, I've taken another wife. I don't know why he abandoned her, at least inside the house. What can a mother do when she does not have the child in her arms. She is meant to be, we know her voice, facial expressions, face. Please help him reunite with his child. Her mother is dead, there was no contact. She didn't talk to her mother at all, she died with her soul wounded by her daughter. His father died early, he was operated on in America, he had it there. He used to talk to his brother's daughter-in-law, he told her that the teachers kicked him out of school. They told him that if you come close to the boy, you will be sentenced to three months in prison. At first, she had a good time with her husband. We haven't seen him at all since '97. He spoke to his brother's daughter-in-law very rarely. I pray to the state a lot, since she contributed, she was a good singer. To do something, to unite him with his son. She doesn't come to Albania if she didn't see her son. He destroyed himself for that boy. We have no record of who contacted the boy. I am begging you, whoever has the opportunity, to help him, to heal him. We were surprised that he spoke Albanian", she says.
While Robert Bazhuri, the son of the singer's aunt, explains that he tried to connect with her on Facebook.
"I saw that an hour or half an hour ago she had used the messenger. My daughter never opened it. I met him for the last time, I think, in 1999 when he came for a concert. He lived at my brother's house. I was in America to the girl in Florida 2 years ago he says. I tried my best to contact him but it was impossible. The Albanians there had no contact with him", he says.
