Journalist Sokol Bregu spoke about the action carried out a few days ago by SPAK in the city of Vlora, where several people suspected of being members of the group of Inez Hajrulla, a well-known name in organized crime, were arrested.
Invited to the show "The Unexposed", Bregu said that the operation marks an important moment for investigations in this city, emphasizing that it is among the first cases when SPAK opens such a file in Vlora.
According to him, so far SPAK's investigations have been mainly focused on other cities such as Elbasan, Durrës and Lezha.
Bregu also stressed that it is the first time that the police have entered the Hajrulla residential area, known as the "Oslo block", an area that was guarded with strong security measures.
He added that Hajrulla is considered one of the most guarded people in the country, moving in a convoy of armored cars and with numerous security measures.
"SPAK for the first time opened a file in Vlora. They were concentrated in Elbasan, Durrës, Lezhë. Vlora, the city with the most murders, had remained untouched. It started with Inez Hajrulla. It is a big bonus to bring peace to that city. They will have security measures against them. Until now, they did not have difficulty living in Vlora. There are legends on the street about many murders committed by this group, but they had no security measures, they lived freely.
"Inez Hajrulla must be the most guarded person in Albania, with an extraordinary expense, armored cars in the convoy. Someone with only a pistol with a silencer, claimed to have committed his murder in Uji i Ftohtë, which seemed excessive since you couldn't find him. The police had never entered his apartments in the Oslo block. Vlora's main activity is drug trafficking. In 2015, when the first assassination attempt was made, he began to be guarded. Until that moment, he was unknown ," said the journalist.
