Diplomat Arben Çejku spoke about the action carried out by the police in the Mujahideen camp in Manzë, as he assessed the response of the State Police as correct and professional. As for the reaction of the Iranians, Cheik described it as strange and leaving doubts that they were hiding something.
According to the former ambassador, investigations into the claims of cyber attack activity by MEK members should be made with NATO and US partners and if they are confirmed, then the status of the mujahedin's stay in Albania should be repaired.
"Here in the MEK camp, there were also various visitors who went and saw them, but one side of the coin was not clear. Cyber attacks should be deepened and go to the end, US experts should also participate in the investigations. If the camp was used to attack others outside of Albania, if they tried to misuse Albanian data, it would worsen the situation in this camp. It should be seen how far the question of violating the status they have in Albania has gone, as a group that is in defense and that does not intend to attack other countries, including Iran. If they have exceeded the limit in several different ways and pose a risk with their engagement, then their status should be reviewed," Chejku said on A2 CNN.
