Through placards and banners, protesters expressed opposition to the government with messages that combined satire, revolt, and calls for change.
The 35th nationwide protest against the government was characterized not only by the chants and marches to the Prime Minister's Office, but also by the banners and placards that the protesters held in their hands. The messages, accompanied by irony and criticism, focused on corruption, immigration, poverty, political promises and demands for change.
One of the banners that attracted the most attention bore the inscription: " When dictatorship becomes a fact, revolution becomes a duty", while another ironized political promises with the message: "Your promises have more seasons than Netflix series".
Among the protesters were also seen banners with messages such as "Today we protest for dignity, tomorrow let's not run away to foreign worlds", "Today a banner, tomorrow a suitcase. Choose for yourself", as well as "Albania is not for sale", expressing opposition to the departure of young people and developments that, according to the protesters, are harming the country.
The Albanian diaspora was also part of the protest, joining the nationwide rally for the second time. A banner held by the immigrants read: "From Turin to Tirana, hand in hand like sisters and brothers," while another congratulated the United States on Independence Day, with the message in English: "Happy 4th of July. May freedom inspire Albania too."
A symbolic cake with the inscription "The people congratulate you! Resign. Take Saliu with you" was also displayed in the crowd , as well as banners "Free the boys", in support of the protesters arrested during the previous demonstration.
Through banners, protesters conveyed messages about free elections, the fight against corruption, the protection of institutions, and the need for political change, making them one of the most prominent elements of the 35th protest.
