On the eve of the 1/8 final match against Erling Haaland's Norway, Brazil coach Carlo Ancelotti has reacted to the criticism he received for his cautious approach in the previous challenge against Japan.
During the press conference, the Italian coach was asked about the comments that have accompanied the way he managed the match, and he responded with determination, highlighting his many years of experience in elite football.
" In Italy they say that all men want to be coaches and all women want to be architects. I don't know if I understand football or not, but no one can judge me for that ," declared Ancelotti.
The Brazilian coach underlined that his experience is the strongest argument to respond to critics.
" I have managed over 1,400 matches. Maybe it's not enough to understand football, but it's a great experience. Only Alex Ferguson has more, over 2,000 matches. I listen to everyone, but the only one who could really give me advice is him ," the Italian added.
In the end, Ancelotti stressed that he does not claim to be infallible, but is convinced that his experience speaks for itself.
" I'm not a genius, but I know I'm not stupid either ," the Brazil coach concluded.
