Analyst Kreshnik Spahiu has stated that Sali Berisha does not have popular support and according to him, this can be seen in the strongholds in Kukës, Tropoja, Pukë, Bathore and Lezhë.
In an interview for "Euronews Albanai", Spahiu stated that if Berisha had popular support, the chairs in Parliament would not be set on fire, but the boulevard would be set on fire.
“Berisha has no support, and the internationals may have thought that the arrest of Berisha could provoke more reaction. The fact that since the election campaign, no protest of Berisha has been held, shows that this group has already been shrinking politically, it has lost its strongholds in Kukës, Tropoja, Pukë, Bathore, Lezhë. The fact that the protests ended in arson shows that the only soldiers left are 10 or 20 deputies. If there was popular support, the chairs in the Parliament would not be set on fire, but the Boulevard would be set on fire", he said.
