The activist collides with Rama in the USA: You are committing

Activist Ferzileta Gjika, in defense of Skavica, clashed with Edi Rama during the Prime Minister's meeting with civil society representatives in New York, United States of America.

Gjika repeats calls against the construction of the Skavica hydropower plant on the Drin River in Dibër, while telling Rama that Arbri Road is the biggest failure of all governments, as poor quality works are never completed.

Beyond the government's "tape" propaganda, the activism conveyed to Rama the concern of the residents of the Dibra area, adding that this is a "genocide" that is being done to the 35 villages in the area that are sinking under water.

Today , September 24, 2024, Prime Minister Edi Rama held a meeting with representatives of civil society in the Diaspora, in the city of Bronx, New York.

The opposition to the Skavice Dam has raised concern about the genocide that is being done to the people of Dibra, the sinking of 35 villages, the land of Kastriote, as well as the problems related to the Arbri Road, as a road that never ends.

Arbri Road is the biggest failure of all governments and there is still no hope that it will end as it is the worst example of the project and the quality of the works as we have seen it up close.
The specific question I addressed to him at the beginning was this:

"Dibra is the only Municipality in Albania that has 7 Administrative Units of the Local Government that are not connected by paved roads and do not even have a single square meter of asphalt in their territory.

Rec Unit,
Zall-Dardh Unit,
Arras (Cidhen) Unit
, Muhurr Unit,
Lure Unit,
Luzni Unit,
Selishte Unit,

These 7 administrative units are among the poorest areas of Albania.

You and your government prioritize Tourism. Why don't you see the Black Drin valley as the closest tourist destination and support these 7 local government units with infrastructural development, but consider submerging the most historic part of the Albanian nation, while today there are plenty of alternative sources of energy ?

He wanted to avoid the question, and he didn't answer, the reply continued.. For more, watch the video " , writes Ferzileta Gjika as she shares the video below.
