Analyst Andi Bushati stated that it is likely that Mayor Erion Veliaj was imprisoned with the approval of Prime Minister Edi Rama.
Invited to the show "The Unexposed", Bushati said that there is no evidence to support this theory, but in his analysis he says that all roads lead to the prime minister.
"I don't have any proof, but I've tried to do an analysis. The media came out that Veliaj was giving directives. The same media, on the day Veliaj was arrested, strongly suggested that Belinda Balluku was doing this to him. Belinda, shall we say, is doing it behind Rama's back? Veliaj again revealed in the wiretaps that Ulsiu was also conspiring. Ulsiu behind Rama's back too?
Rama went to the Municipality and deleted Veliaj's people. In the lists of deputies of Parliament, there will be no pro-Veliaj deputies. So all these coincidences make me suspect that SPAK has not set out to do justice but, as with Ben Ahmetaj, has received an order "take the dog". So these are my suspicions" , said Bushati.
