DASH has donated a computer and laptop to the forensic laboratory...
The United States continues to be the key ally of the Special Prosecutor's Office. The two-month departure of experts assisting the special prosecutors caused a political stir, but the celebration was short-lived. However, the US does not only provide technical assistance, as it has also provided the Special Prosecutor's Office with equipment.
In the annual report of SPAK, it is reported that during the past year, the US Department of State has donated a supercomputer to the Special Prosecution Office for the criminology laboratory. It is a “ Forensic Workstation - Talino KA-301 ”, worth 3,598,221 lekë. It has also donated a laptop worth 898,625 lekë.
" During 2024, within the framework of cooperation with internationals, it has been possible for our institution to receive assets donated by them, which have contributed to the improvement of IT systems and equipment. Specifically, this year we have had acts of donation from the United States Department of State and the Spanish Foundation "Internacional Y Para Iberoamerika de Administraciony Politicas Publicas" ", SPAK states.

" Talino KA-301 " is a computer for forensic examinations. The company that produces it states that each system is meticulously designed by experts in the field of forensic medicine and electronic discovery. So thanks to this computer, cell phones and many electronic devices can be disassembled.
But this work definitely requires people, and SPAK has brought in experts from Israel, who are considered the best in this field. Israeli companies have also been contracted.
According to SPAK, during 2024, 400 expert decisions for 841 pieces of digital evidence were submitted to the Expertise Sector for examination, specifically for 553 mobile phones and tablets, 110 computers, 16 DVRs and 162 other digital evidence (hard drives, USBs, memory cards, CDs/DVDs, etc.). /Pamphlet
