Journalist Artan Hoxha spoke about the latest action of the FNSH, where they carried out several checks in Krujë and Nikël, where several people were arrested. Among those arrested are members of the Rraja family.
According to Hoxha, this operation falls under historical investigations and is an investigation with data that was obtained from encrypted networks.
"It's always about events that happened before 2021. This is interesting because it's hitting people for hashish trafficking while they're on cocaine charges."
They were arrested for hashish while they were moving tons of cocaine. Five years in drug trafficking is a very long time. This is an investigation that has supplied the German market with cannabis and most of the investigations that SPAK carries out are carried out on behalf of EU countries. We call ourselves their partners, but we are doing their work, I call it their dirty work.
We are doing the work that they are doing in Germany, France, Italy, etc. But when we ask them to do the same thing that is in our interest, we don't get this answer.
The group that was hit today is not one group, it is an alliance of several groups, which had an agreement for cannabis trafficking. I am dividing it by mandates, we are talking about Rama's third mandate when it began, we are in the fourth mandate. The raw material was provided from Albania and Spain, that is, the groups cultivated both here and in Spain and took it to Germany.
After 2016, when there was a price drop in Albania, they went to Spain, took the workers they had here and moved them there, and what they did there was cut transportation costs because there was no longer a need to import it into the EU from a third country, but you are within the EU and have avoided controls.
"Secondly, the profit was very high, from Spain to Germany it cost 3,500 euros per kilogram, while in Albania the maximum was 600-700. That's why they moved the infrastructure to Spain and had the market closer," Hoxha said on Euronews Albania.
