Analyst Agim Baçi has analyzed the statements of the head of SPAK, Altin Dumani, saying that the fact that there was no denunciation to the Directorate of Taxes or that of Customs was worrying for the institution he represents, while many investigations show the opposite.
Among other things, Baçi showed Duman's position regarding threats. He said that according to Duman, serious threats are those that come from organized crime and not from politics.
"It was a debate where there was a lot of interest from the public. Duman raised the alarm over the denunciations. For example; there are zero complaints in customs and taxes. Here was the focus. You have an anti-corruption office in the government, or an audit office in every institution. He said; "we have zero denunciations from taxes, from customs". Meanwhile, we are witnessing where money laundering and corruption issues have gone. Dumani said that the issue of denunciations against institutions has decreased by 40%. These things cannot be done by prosecutors alone. He clarified that SPAK does not strike without a court decision. "No one has immunity and we have no problem with politics", explained Dumani. His alarm is that the institutions do not cooperate. Duman emphasized that; "The problem is not politics, but organized crime. We have calculated leaving the house and not returning. Threats come when they come from organized crime, and not from politics," Baçi told News 24.
