The European Union's Commissioner for Enlargement, Marta Kos, has declared before the European Parliament that there will be no 'Trojan Horses' within the EU, sending a clear message to countries aspiring to join the Union.
Sharing a video of her speech at the European Parliament on the “X” platform, Kos added that countries waiting to join the EU must be strong and stable democracies. She stressed that there are no shortcuts to EU reforms.
"No Trojan horses. Countries that would undermine us from within cannot become member states. We must make full assurance of this. Countries joining the EU must be strong and stable democracies, capable of resisting the toxic influence of Russia and others. Of course, there can be no shortcuts in reforms. Our European citizens expect this from us, from me and from my team," Kos said in her message shared on the social network 'X'.
"No Trojan Horses" - that's what I told the European Parliament.
