Readers of "Pamphlet", we invite you to follow the noon news edition, where among other things we highlight:

DP protest outside Parliament - Namazgja Mosque with double security cordon

The Namazgja Mosque has been placed under a security cordon. As can be seen from the footage, the religious building is surrounded by metal barriers, while police officers are positioned behind them.
The increased security measures come after the recent incident, when during the Democratic Party protest, Molotov cocktails were thrown in the direction of the area, without even sparing the mosque.
At that moment, there were believers inside it who were performing religious rites, given that it is currently the month of Ramadan.

The Assembly will decide today on the request of SPAK for the arrest of Belinda Balluku, former Deputy Prime Minister and former Minister of Infrastructure. The Council for Mandates and Immunities will present two reports, completely opposite, regarding the position regarding the request of SPAK.
The latter has requested from the Assembly the authorization to impose a security measure with arrest against the former Deputy Prime Minister, who was initially suspended from government functions and then dismissed by Prime Minister Edi Rama, after the Constitutional Court upheld a decision of the GJKKO for her suspension as a minister.

Meanwhile, the opposition has called a protest in front of the Parliament, which has led to the Parliament carrying out its work under tight security measures. Not only metal barriers and police officers, but also a security perimeter has been set up by the Republican Guard. The latter has even placed officers on the terrace of the building who will observe every movement of the protesters from above.

Balluk hearing - Rama leaves the Parliament hall

Prime Minister Edi Rama has left the Assembly hall, where the plenary session has begun where a decision will be made regarding SPAK's request for Belinda Balluku, former Deputy Prime Minister and former Minister of Infrastructure.
Rama, who arrived at the Assembly at around 09:20, did not stay for more than 1 hour, leaving the moment MP Oerd Bylykbashi read the report on behalf of the 5 opposition members in the Council of Mandates and Immunities.
MPs Fatmir Xhafaj and Elisa Spiropali are also absent from the session, while Belinda Balluku also did not prefer to be present at the session.
Earlier, the SP Parliamentary Group decided not to approve SPAK's request to authorize the arrest of Balluku.

Monika Kryemadhi goes to GJKKO-Batuta with journalists: Great day, don't forget the movie!

Former MP Monika Kryemadhi appeared this morning at the Special Court against Corruption and Organized Crime (GJKKO), where the next hearing in the criminal trial in which she and her ex-husband Ilir Meta are defendants is taking place.
Before entering the court building, Kryemadhi briefly communicated with journalists, also making a humorous comment on the day's activities.
"Today is a great day... our trial, Belinda's immunity, the opposition's protest, my film in the afternoon...", she said.
She also reminded that her film would be shown at 18:00 and urged journalists not to forget it.
Ilir Meta's lawyer, Kujtim Cakrani, was also present at the court premises, who before entering the building declared that "today there are good events in this session."

Germany 'draws a red line' to Tirana - Without investigating ministers for corruption, Albania will not pass the EU test

Enlargement has returned to the top of the European Union’s agenda.
“The accession of new member states in the coming years is a realistic prospect,” European Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos told an audience during a visit to the German Council on Foreign Relations on 4 March, but warned that “the EU must also prepare.”
The debate on EU enlargement is also putting Albania’s position in the negotiations back in focus. Analyses published in German political circles stress that the country’s progress remains conditional on a key report by the European Commission and on the way Albanian institutions deal with corruption at the highest levels of government.
According to the German Council on Foreign Relations, Albania will continue to be considered below a critical threshold until it receives a positive Interim Assessment Report (IBAR) from the European Commission.
This report constitutes a formal step towards moving to the phase of closing the negotiation chapters.
